- Michael B. Heise - President
- In his role as President of the Medical Center Company, Mike is responsible for the oversight and
leadership in all operational, financial and strategic planning aspects of the organization. Prior to
joining the Medical Center Company, he worked for several different utility organizations. From 1999 to
2003, he worked for American Municipal Power of Ohio as vice president of technical services. From 1997
to 1999, he worked for the City of Napoleon as their electrical distribution superintendent. From 1988 to
1997, he worked as a customer engineer for the two operating companies of FirstEnergy. He received his
bachelors of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toledo and is a registered
professional engineer in the State of Ohio.
- Yoon S. Lee - Chief Financial Officer
- In his role as Chief Financial Officer, Yoon is responsible for strategic and financial planning,
capital financing, debt management, power and gas supply procurement and funding of The Medical Center Company’s
sustainability initiatives. New to Cleveland, Yoon comes from San Francisco where he was formerly the senior
finance officer for the University of California system where he helped manage a multi-billion dollar financing
program for the system’s ten campuses and five medical centers. He earned an undergraduate degree at Yale
University and is completing an MBA at the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley.
- Scott Wilson - V.P. of Finance and Administration
- Assistant Treasurer since November 1998, Mr. Wilson is a full-time employee of MCCo and is a member of the
Executive Committee. In May 2010 he was promoted to Vice President of Finance and Administration. Scott is
responsible for all financial functions of MCCo and oversees all human resource issues including administration
of benefit plans. Prior to joining MCCo, Scott held the position of Controller at Cleveland Syrup Corporation
since 1995. Before joining Cleveland Syrup Corporation, Scott held positions in Budgeting, General Accounting,
External Reporting and Taxes at Alltel Corporation from 1982 – 1995. From 1981 to 1982, he worked as an Accountant
for DOC-NCC. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in
1981.
- Todd Gadawski - Environmental and Safety Manager
- Todd has managed environmental compliance for the Medical Center Company for the past seven years and has
fifteen years experience in the energy industry. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio
and holds a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering from The Ohio State University. Todd previously worked for
American Municipal Power, assisting municipal member communities with environmental compliance. He
is a member of the Northern Ohio Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association and the Greater Cleveland
Safety Council.
- Meghan Riesterer, CEM, LEED BD&C - Director of Sustainability
- Meghan is the first Director of Sustainability at The Medical Center Company. Her mission is to advance the
company’s commitment to sustainability. She will focus on both demand-side and generation-side management of
sustainable initiatives, programs, policies and practices. Meghan is returning home from Colorado, where she
was the energy manager for the City of Colorado Springs. While at the City of Colorado Springs, she was
responsible for creating and implementing their Office of Sustainability. Meghan is a Certified Energy Manager
and a LEED Acredited Professional. She earned her master’s in city planning from Massachusetts Institute of
Technology and her bachelor’s degree from Baldwin-Wallace College.
- Frank DiTomaso - Distribution Supervisor
- Frank DiTomaso started working for MCCo in 1977. He is a third generation of his family to work for the
company. Frank is currently the Distribution Supervisor in charge of steam, electrical and chilled water
distribution. Additionally, he is in charge of the Chilled Water facilities
- Gary Pekarcsik - Chief Engineer
- Gary started working for MCCo in 1974 as a Maintenance Mechanic. He progressed through the ranks as a Boiler
Operator, Shift Engineer and eventually Chief Engineer in 1995. As Chief Engineer he is responsible for the safe
operations of the two coal-fired and five gas fired steam boilers. He schedules the maintenance for the steam
boilers as well as the auxiliary equipment within the power plant.
